Security priorities quiz

How your information is used

This quiz helps Router ID understand the security priorities businesses report and gives you a short summary based on your answers. It does not perform a technical assessment.

Before you submit

Your answers stay in memory in this browser tab as you move through the quiz. They are not stored in your browser’s local storage. Refreshing or closing the tab clears them. Only selecting “Submit and see my summary” sends your answers. If you allow optional tracking, progress events can be sent as you move through the quiz; those events do not include your answers.

What is submitted

We receive your selected answers, any optional text you enter, the category order shown to you, the survey version, a submission identifier, and the submission time. If you arrived through a campaign link, we may also receive its source, medium, and campaign identifiers. We do not include the full referring URL or query string.

Please leave out passwords, customer names, personal information about other people, and sensitive details of an active incident.

Contact is optional

You can submit and get a summary without providing your name, email, or company. Those details are requested and sent only when you choose “I’d like Router ID to contact me about these answers.” Unchecking it clears those fields. This gives permission for a follow-up about your answers; it is not a marketing subscription.

Why we keep the answers

Router ID uses submitted answers to understand business needs, review patterns across responses, and prepare your summary. If you request contact, Router ID can use the details you provided to follow up about your answers.

Storage and retention

Submitted responses are stored in the quiz’s database. Access to response records and exports is restricted to the operator with administrative credentials. The default retention period is 180 days. Older responses are removed by the app’s retention process. Administrative backups and exports must be managed by the operator separately.

When the quiz displays a local preview banner, submitted answers are stored only in the local preview database. The preview does not connect to a CRM, email service, or other external system, and it does not send a contact notification.

Tracking and connection information

The cookie notice offers three actions. “Accept all” allows Google Analytics and Meta marketing measurement. “Accept minimum” and “Reject all” keep both optional providers off and remember your choice using essential preference storage on this device. You can change your choice using Cookie preferences below. You can complete the quiz and request contact with optional tracking off. Local previews do not load these tags or send tracking events.

Our tracking events describe page visits, quiz starts, step numbers, submission success or failure, and saved requests for contact. We do not add selected answers, written responses, name, email, company, or the saved response identifier to those events. A saved response counts as a lead event only if contact was requested.

After you allow a provider, its tag may use cookies and receive connection or device information, including your IP address, browser information, and the page visited. See Google’s privacy policy and Meta’s privacy policy. No Google Ads tag is installed by this quiz.

We remember your tracking choices on this device for up to 180 days. This preference record contains only the choices, their version, and the time saved. Changing your choice stops new quiz events to the provider you turned off. Tags already loaded may still send consent or technical requests; withdrawing consent does not delete information already received by a provider. You can reload after finishing the quiz to unload previously loaded tags.

The quiz server also uses connection information temporarily to limit repeated requests. It does not add your IP address to the stored quiz response. Tracking consent and permission for Router ID to contact you are separate choices.

For questions about your information, email personaldatainquiry@router-id.com, the contact listed in Router ID’s privacy policy. Mention the security priorities quiz and when you submitted it. Responses submitted without contact details may not be identifiable as yours.
